Hüttmann, Adolf Maria Hans, born 26-06-1875 in Hanover,
joined the Army as Fahnenjunker in the 35th Fusilier Regiment, age 17, on 03-01-1894, with the outbreak of the first war. Hüttmann was a Hauptmann and Company Chief of the 25th Infantry Regiment. He survived the war and was allowed in the new 100.000 menReichswehr
, but retired on 31-10-1930, age 55. He was placed to disposal of the growing Army on 31-10-1930. After the begin of World War II he was assigned as commander of the Rear Army Area 591, on 16-09-1939 and to Senior Field Command 591 to 31-03-1940. He landed in the Führer Reserve (see Adolf Hitler) (did you know) until 12-04-1940.

Appointed as commander of the Division 404 to 01-05-1942, again in the Reserve and finally retired on 30-06-1942, age 67. One month later his son Leutnant Hans Hüttmann, age 21, was killed in battle, on 17-07-1943. Hüttmann retired in Goslar where he at the very old age of 94 died, on 29-10-1969. He is buried with his wife Marie, born Murle, who died age 84 on 22-10-1976, and his son, on the cemetery Hildesheimerstrasse in Goslar and close neighbours are, Generaloberst der Panzertruppe, Oberbefehler B 2nd Panzer Armee, Heinz Wilhelm Guderian
