Fütterer, Kuno Heribert, born 02-04-1894 in Hettstedt, District Mansfeld,
joined the Army on 22-03-1914 as a Leutnant in the 4th Westfälisches Infanterie-Regiment “Graf Barfuß” Nr. 17
. He succeeded for his pilot training in 1915 became an observer and was wounded
in 1917. Fütterer received both the Iron Crosses
and retained in the new Reichswehr in between the both wars. He became Luftwaffenattaché on the German Ambassade in Budapest in Hungary and was promoted on 01-01-1939 to Oberst. With the outbreak of World War II he remained in Hungary and became a Generalmajor on 01-11-1941. On 01-11-1943 as a Generalleutnant, he was assigned as General of the Luftwaffe (see Hermann Goering) (did you know) in Hungary. Half December 1944 he was assigned as Commanding General of the new Luftgau-Kommando XV and responsibly for the Protektorat Böhmen und Mähren
. In January 1945 he lost his command to General der Flieger Alfred Bülowius, who died age 76, on 09-08-1968
and landed in the Führer Reserve OKL (see Adolf Hitler) (did you know), until 20-04-1945. On 20-04-1945 he was promoted to General of the Flieger and transferred to the Air Fleet 6, under command of Generaloberst Otto Deßloch,. Fütterer was in Allied captivity until spring of 1947.

Living in Munich, Heribert Fütterer at the age of 69, died, on 24-08-1969 and is buried with his mother and his wife Marieliese, born Voss, who died old age 89 on 26-06-1988, on the Nordfriedhof of Munich close to the Generalleutnant der Infanterie, Kommandeur der 72th Infanterie Division
