Jansen, Rudolf, born 24-09-1876 in Düsseldorf,
entered the Army on 15-03-1897, age 20, as a Fahnenjunker in the 7th Foot Artillery Regiment. He was in the fields with this Regiment and retired on 31-12-1920. He reactivated as an Oberst as a Territorial Officer on 01-10-1933. He was transferred into the Army General Staff
to 26-08-1939 and in the War Science of the Army General Staff, until 01-09-1941. Appointed as Armament Inspector Eastern Territories to 31-10-1942 and retired finally at the age of 66.

Rudolf Jansen retired in Berlin Steglitz, where he at the age of 75 died, on 16-01-1952 and is buried with his wife Herta, born Aschenborn, who died old age 91, on 26-07-1988, on the cemetery of Steglitz, suburb of Berlin.
