Hamel, Ernst, born 15-06-1877 in Wessin, region of Parchim
, joined the Army as a Fahnenjunker and Company Officer in the 9th Pioneer Battalion on 01-04-1898, age 20. Detached to the Military Technical Academy to 15-08-1905 and was an Adjutant in the 9th Battalion to 22-12-1910. In the first war he was Company Chief in the 9th Battalion to 23-10-1915. Commander of the 17th Infantry Division and from 02-08-1916 wounded
in hospital until 25-04-1917. Recovered he became the leader of the 9th Replacement Pioneer Battalion to 21-06-1917. As commander of the 31st Pioneer Battalion again wounded in hospital until 02-10-1918, Granted Leave from 01-11-1918 and retired from the Service on 31-03-1920. He joined the Police Service
with the Security Police in Mecklenburg, from 01-11-1939 until 31-12-1923 as a Major. Hamel entered the Luftwaffe Serve
in the growing Goering’s Luftwaffe as a Supplement Officer from 10-07-1935. (see Did you know) (see Hermann Goering) (see Peter Goering)








Death and burial ground of Hamel, Ernst.

The same year released and living in Kladow, Berlin, Hamel, not a battelield General died at the age of 81, on 28-03-1969 and is buried on the local cemetery of Kladow, Berlin, former East Berlin territory. Alas his gravestone is meanwhile removed from the grave.
