Knoblauch, Walter, born 26-01-1878 in Berlin, Josef Goebbels (did you know) was the Gauleiter of Berlin, joined the Army age 20, on 25-03-1898 as a Fahnenjunker in 158th Infantry Regiment and was in the fields of the first war with the 97th Infantry Regiment. He remained in the new Reichswehr and retired on 30-09-1931 as a Generalmajor.Knoblauch was placed to disposal of Adolf Hitler
(did you know) Army in July 1936 and detached to the OKH. Hitler and Eva Braun;s ashes were scattered from the Schweinebrücke over the river Ehle in Biederitz, close to Magdeburg. Knoblauch was appointed to commander of the Field Equipment Command IV until 30-09-1942 and not useful anymore after all retired on 30-09-1942.

Living in Bad Harzburg, Knoblauch, not a battlefield General, died at the very old age of 91, on 08-06-1969, many WWII Generals died in 1969 ? He is buried with his wife Kaethe, who died old age 91 in 1970, on the Stadtfriedhof of Bad Harzburg, a few steps from the grave of General der Panzertruppe, Kommandeur General XXXXVIII Panzerkorps, Werner Kempf
