Miller, Frank Dickson, born 27-05-1914, in Brush Prairie, Clark, 
Washington, United States, to Frank Oliver Miller (1891–1975) 
and his wife Lora Eunice Dickson Miller (1892–1921). He had one sister Marie L Miller (1915–1921). Frank in 1939 married Margaret Fay Prickett Miller (1918–2008). 
The couple had four sons, one is Jeremy King Miller (1951–2026) 
Frank graduated from Jefferson High School in Portland. 
In 1938, he graduated as a Second Lieutenant of Infantry, from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York.
Frank went on to graduate from the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth and the Army War College. Some famous 1938 classmates: Arthur Fulbrook Gorham (11-01-1915 – 12-07-1943) 
was a United States Army officer and paratrooper. Gorham was the first commander of the 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 
part of the 82nd Airborne Division. 
He led the unit from its inception until Operation Husky, the July 1943 Allied invasion of Sicily, where he was killed in action.
Richard Giles Stilwell 
was another, who after retiring from the Army, served as U.S. Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Policy from 1981 to 1985. He died on 25-12-1991, of cardiac arrest, at the age of 74. He was buried at West Point Cemetery, in West Point, New York.
During World War II, Frank Dickson Miller commanded the 307th Infantry Regiment 
in the Philippines and later was Operations Officer of the 77th Division 
during the Okinawa campaign. He later served as Chief of Staff for the 8th Army 
in Panama and Korea and was a Staff Officer with the Military Assistance Command in Vietnam from 1961 until 1966.

He did a second tour of duty in Vietnam as Chief of Staff for the Army until 1967 and then was an Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for logistics until his retirement in 1970. Frank Dickson Miller passed away on 17-12-1993 of a heart attack in a Virginia hospital at the age of 79. Frank Miller is buried at the Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Arlington, Virginia, Section 1, Site 199B.
