Jacobi, Alfred, born 29-07-1884 in Bremen,
entered the Army Service on 16-09-1903, age 19, in the 60th Infantry Regiment. On 01-12-1912 he was transferred to the I. Seebataillon in Kiel,
where he was promoted to Leutnant on 27-01-1914. Between 01-10-1913 and 31-03-1914, he was an inspection officer at the Engineering and Deck Officers School in Kiel. At the outbreak of the World War I on 02-08-1914 Alfred Jacobi became adjutant of the VIII. Battalion. From 04-01-1915, he served as an orderly officer at the staff of the Navy Infantry Brigade. On 18-04-1915, he was promoted to captain. From 15-05-1915 he was company commander in the Marine Infantry Regiment 1 and from 08-08-1915 deputy adjutant of the Navy Infantry Brigade. On 12-10-1915 he then became adjutant of the Navy Infantry Brigade.
On 29-05-1917, he was added as 1st Adjutant to the 3rd Marine Division, until he returned on 20-01-1919 in the I. Lake Battalion. On 21-03-1919 he was first transferred to the Infantry Regiment Margrave Carl (7 Brandenburgisches) No. 60 and on 30-04-1919 in the 5th Hannoversche Infanterie-Regiment No. 165. On 31-12-1919 he was finally dismissed with the character of a major from the military service. On 17-05-1921, he joined as a police major in the protection police. Until 1935 he was police colonel at the state police. On 15-10-1935 he was taken over as an e-officer * and Oberstleutnant in the Wehrmacht
and commander of the Wehrbezirkskommando Stettin I. On 30-09-1939 he was appointed field commander 580th. As early as 10-11-1939, he was appointed commander of Bromberg and on 20-08-1940 commander of the Wehrbezirks commando Stettin I.




Commander of the 570th Infantry Regiment to 21-07-1941, Field Command 748, to 26-01-194 and Location Commandant of Gompel until 20-05-1942. Commander of the 21st Security Brigade and Commander of the 20th Security Division to 13-10-1944 and lands in the Führer Reserve (see Adolf Hitler) (did you know) until 24-01-1945. He became Fortress Commandant of Stettin
to 06-02-1945, in the Reserve again to 28-02-1945 and at last retired.

Living in Celle, Jacobi died at the old age of 87, on 06-05-1972 and is buried with his wife Magarete, born Kreipe, who died age 61 in 1946, on the Stadtfriedhof of Celle, Field 6-Grave 417..
