Hohn, Dr. Hermann, born 11-10-1897 in Renchen, Baden,
joined the Army Service as a war volunteer, age 17, in the III Recruitment Depot of the 10th Foot Artillery Regiment. He was in the fields of the first war and ended the war as a Leutnant at a Course at the Army Artillery School in Maubeuge. Hohn retired from the Service on 31-12-1920, went to the University in Heidelberg and entered Adolf Hitler’s
(did you know) growing Army again on 01-09-1935. With the beginning of World War II he was transferred, as a Major, to the General Staff
of the General Command of the XXIII Army Corps, commanded by General der Infanterie, Albrecht Schubert
, to 01-11-1939. Schubert survived the war and died 26-11-1966, age 90 in Bielefeld, Germany. Hohn became an adjutant in the 72nd Infantry Division
, under General der Infanterie, Franz Mattenklott

Released as a Generalleutnant on 23-02-1948 he retired in Ladenburg. From 1953 to 1965 he was a candidate of a Free Voters Association Mayor of Ladenburg. Herman Hohn at the age of 71 died, on 12-11-1968. Hohn is buried with his wife Lydia, who died old age 93, in 1996, on the Stadtfriedhof of Ladenburg.
