Vincent B. Vicari “Vinny”, born 25-10-1919 in New York
United States, the son of the late Ambrose and Vincenza, born Lapi Vicari. Vinnie had two sisters, Vincenza Gobbo and Rose Corso and three brothers, Lorenzo, Salvatore and Frank Vicari.
Vincent served his country in the European Theatre of World War II in the 506th Regiment, Easy Company,
of the 101st Airborne Division

the man with the answer “Nuts”. The phrase “Nuts!” was famously uttered by Brigadier General Anthony McAuliffe of the 101st Airborne Division during the Battle of the Bulge. When German forces surrounded Bastogne, Belgium, and demanded the American forces surrender and called loud “Nuts”, McAuliffe’s after advice from Colonel Kinnard, reply to their ultimatum was the same blunt and defiant “Nuts!”.
He received four battle stars for action in Normandy, Rhineland, the Ardennes and Central Europe. Later, he was the Senior Organizer for the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, from which he retired in 1982. Memberships: Vincent was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Kiwanis s Club, St. Anthony s of Padua Church, and an usher at St. Anthony s. He served on the Bethlehem Township Sewer Authority. He was a past President of the 101st Airborne Division Association and continued to serve on the Board of Governors until his death.

Vincent B Vicari passed away 05-12-2011 (age 92) in Bethlehem Township, Pennsylvania and is buried at Gethsemane Cemetery Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, United States.
Vincent is survived by daughters, Arlene Vicari of Bethlehem Twp., and Janice Caraballo and husband Michael of Easton; grandchildren, Danielle Smith, Robert Vicari, Ashley Jiorle, and Devon Caraballo; great-grandchildren, Blake Smith, Kai Vicari, Kherington Smith, Logan Vicari and Chloe Post. He is predeceased by his wife, Emily Navarra Vicari, sisters, Vincenza Gobbo and Rose Corso and brothers, Lorenzo, Salvatore and Frank Vicari.
