Herudt von Rhode, Hans, born 23-09-1899, in Legnica, Polen,
ten years after Adolf Hitler (did you know), joined the Army Service, age 18, on 30-09-1917 in the 1st Guards Artillery Regiment and retired on 31-10-1929 as a Oberleutnant. He reactivated to the Army Service and detached to the 8th Mountain Regiment. He was transferred to the Luftwaffe Service
as a Flying Hauptmann with the German Air Sport Formation, the secretly and camouflaged, Luftwaffe in Russia. With the outbreak of World War II Herhudt von Rohden was detached to Instruction Wing I to 30-09-1939. He was Course Leader at the Air War Academy in Berlin, Gatow, Gatow the airport from which Robert Ritter von Greim
and Hanna Reitsch
