Geibel, Lothar, born 02-08-1880 in Munich
was a General of the Police and of the Waffen SS during World War II. Total casualties amongst the Waffen-SS will probably never be known, but one estimate indicates that they suffered 180.000 dead, 400.000 wounded, and 40.000 missing. World War II casualties indicates that the Waffen-SS suffered 314.000 killed and missing, or 34.9 per cent. By comparison, the United States Army suffered 318.274 killed and missing in all theatres of the war.

He died at the age of 77, on 23-11-1957 and is buried with his wife Magarete, born Beck, who died old age 95, on 12-12-1998, on the Nordfriedhof of Munich. Next to his grave is the grave of SA man, raiser of the SS and Adolf Hitler´s (did you know) driver and founder of the SS, SS Oberführer, Emil Maurice, a half Jew. A little further the graves of Gerdy and Paul Troost, Hitler’s favourite architects, and also the grave of Hitler’s youngest secretary, Traudl Junge Humps
