Daehncke, Carl, born in 1872, was a Korvetten Kapitän of the German Kriegsmarine. After the war he retired in the beautiful town of Garmisch Partenkirchen
, where he at the old age of 88 died in 1960. Daenhcke is buried with his wife Anny, who died age 84 in 1962, on the Stadtfriedhof of Partenkirchen. They had three children, Maria Therese Daehncke Theissen, 1908–1995, Hans Joachim Daehncke, 1909–1992 and Irmgard Daehncke, 1910–2005
